Compliance Manager (AMLRO & Data Protection Supervisor)

About the role

The Compliance Manager will lead the company’s Anti‑Money Laundering (AML) and data protection programmes across Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Acting as the appointed AMLRO and Data Protection Supervisor, the role ensures that all business activities comply with local and international regulations, ISO 27001:2022 standards and privacy laws.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and operate AML/CFT policies in line with regional regulatory requirements.
• Record AML activities, conduct risk assessments and investigate suspicious transactions.
• Serve as the primary AMLRO liaison with regulators and oversee day‑to‑day AML operations.
• Maintain data protection policies, conduct DPIAs, manage breach investigations and report to authorities.
• Act as the company’s Data Protection Supervisor, handling data‑subject requests and liaising with data protection authorities.
• Ensure licensing and Bank of Ghana reporting obligations are met.
• Support internal controls, periodic compliance testing and remediation plans.
• Deliver quarterly training on AML and data protection for employees.
• Collaborate with legal, IT, product and other teams to embed compliance into all processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in AML, compliance and data protection across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 27001:2022, GDPR and local privacy laws.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law preferred; equivalent degree in a relevant field acceptable.
• Demonstrated ability to work with regulators and senior management.
