IT Systems Engineer – Accra

About the role

The IT Systems Engineer will design, deploy, and support enterprise IT systems for a multinational organization operating across several subsidiaries in Ghana. Reporting to the Head of IT Infrastructure & Operations, the role combines hands‑on engineering with collaboration across infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain on‑premise, cloud, and hybrid IT platforms ensuring high availability and performance.
• Manage virtualization and container environments such as VMware, Hyper‑V, and OpenShift.
• Design, implement, and operate workloads on AWS and Microsoft Azure, including hybrid‑cloud integration and secure connectivity.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and Ansible and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services (SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, Power Automate) and develop workflow automations.
• Perform advanced Linux and Windows Server administration, including AD, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Execute system monitoring, patching, backup, disaster recovery, and compliance with ISO/IEC 27001 and ITSM processes.

Required profile

• Minimum four years of hands‑on experience managing hybrid IT environments.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong understanding of ITSM best practices and security standards.
