Laboratory Technician

About the role

The University is looking for a dynamic, self‑motivated Laboratory Technician to join its campus in Koforidua. The successful candidate will support laboratory operations under the supervision of senior staff, ensuring that experiments and analyses are carried out safely and efficiently. The position is based in the university’s science laboratories and involves regular interaction with academic staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and workspaces.
• Assist in the execution of experiments and routine analyses.
• Record and manage data accurately, following university protocols.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards.
• Support senior technicians and researchers as directed.

Required profile

• HND in a relevant scientific or technical field, or Part III of a recognized Technician certificate.
• Completed National Service in Ghana.
• Basic computer literacy.

• C++ programming language.
• Python programming language.
• C# programming language.
