MTC Teacher (Ghana) – Temporary Part‑Time (30 hrs/week)

About the role

The Missionary Training Center (MTC) in Ghana seeks a part‑time teacher to support missionaries in learning gospel doctrine, language skills, and missionary techniques. This is a 24‑month fixed‑term position working 30 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver instruction through one‑on‑one coaching, small‑group facilitation, large workshops, and online Canvas discussions.
• Plan and prepare lessons following the approved curriculum, coordinating with a companion teacher when needed.
• Guide missionaries in setting learning goals, tracking progress, and applying feedback from senior training staff.
• Participate in weekly training meetings, co‑teacher sessions, and collaborate with area and mission leadership.
• Assist in assessing language proficiency and teacher applicants, and occasionally role‑play as a non‑member for training scenarios.
• Support additional temporary duties such as the Mission Leadership Seminar as required.

Required profile

• Returned missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints.
• Fluency in the designated second language for language‑teaching assignments.
• Strong coaching, facilitation, and training abilities.
• Thorough knowledge of the “Preach My Gospel” curriculum.
• Excellent interpersonal, professional, and leadership qualities.
• Self‑motivated, receptive to feedback, and able to work independently.
