Remote Textile Designer (Contract)

About the role

Broots Investment Limited is seeking a creative Textile Designer to develop original African‑heritage inspired prints and patterns. This fully remote contract position requires you to collaborate with fashion and media teams, turning concepts into production‑ready designs.

Key responsibilities

• Design textile prints, graphics, and embroidery concepts that reflect African culture and contemporary fashion.
• Research trends, colours, and materials relevant to African‑inspired textiles.
• Prepare detailed design specifications and pattern repeats for digital and physical production.
• Maintain organized design files and respond to stakeholder feedback.
• Ensure all outputs align with brand guidelines and quality standards.

Required profile

• Strong background in embroidery and textile print design.
• Proficiency in industry‑standard graphic software.
• Understanding of fabric types, printing techniques, and colour theory.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
• Prior experience in fashion, textiles, or surface design is preferred, especially with African visual culture.
