Security Officer – Takoradi

About the role

We are looking for a disciplined Security Officer to safeguard the Takoradi factory of Keda Ghana Ceramics. The role involves protecting the premises, controlling access, and ensuring a safe environment for staff, visitors and assets.

Key responsibilities

• Man all entry and exit points, verify credentials of staff, visitors and contractors.
• Conduct regular foot patrols around factory buildings, warehouses and external areas.
• Monitor CCTV cameras and report any suspicious activity immediately.
• Control vehicle movement and manage parking within the site.
• Prevent theft, vandalism and unauthorized entry.
• Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, fires or accidents and preserve incident scenes.
• Enforce company safety rules and security procedures.
• Maintain daily activity logs and incident reports.
• Report security breaches, hazards or irregularities to the supervisor and support investigations.

Required profile

• Minimum one year experience in security or protective services.
• Basic education (SHS/WASSCE) or equivalent.
• Physically fit, able to stand for long periods and conduct patrols.
• Ability to work day and night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• High sense of responsibility, confidentiality and good observation skills.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of CCTV systems.
• Operation of radios.
• Use of security scanners.
