Water Engineer

About the role

SLR Consulting is seeking an experienced Water Engineer to join its multidisciplinary team in Accra and Tema. You will work on innovative and sustainable solutions for waste and sewage conveyance, hydraulic system design, and public‑private water infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop engineering solutions for Newtonian and non‑Newtonian fluid transport across water networks.
• Produce design calculations, specifications, bills of quantities, datasheets, drawings and technical reports.
• Support continuous improvement and digital engineering initiatives to increase efficiency.
• Engage regularly with clients and stakeholders to maintain collaborative relationships.
• Collaborate across civil, mechanical and hydraulic disciplines to ensure timely project delivery.
• Assist with project management tasks, including documentation control and guidance of junior staff.

Required profile

• Civil or Mechanical Engineering background with at least 12 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a senior role managing projects.
• Professional registration with the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE) or an equivalent body.
• Demonstrated work experience in Africa, including field surveys and site investigations.
