Welder – Manufacturing & Fabrication

About the role
The company is seeking a skilled Welder to join its team in Accra. The role involves interpreting engineering drawings and performing a range of welding and metal‑fabrication tasks to meet project specifications.
Key responsibilities
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, lay out and position parts using straight edge, combination square, calipers and ruler.
- Tack‑weld or fully weld components using electric, gas or arc welding equipment.
- Cut work pieces with powered saws, hand shears or chipping knives.
- Inspect welded surfaces through hydrostatic tests, X‑ray examinations and dimensional tolerance checks.
Required profile
- Qualification in Welding and Metal Fabrication Technology.
- At least 1 month of relevant experience.
Required skills
- Welding (electric, gas, arc).
- Metal fabrication and cutting.
- Reading engineering drawings.
- Use of measuring tools (straight edge, combination square, calipers, ruler).
- Inspection techniques (hydrostatic testing, X‑ray, tolerance evaluation).
