Account Executive – Finance & Accounting

About the role

We are looking for an Account Executive to join our finance team in Accra. The role combines sales‑oriented account management with core accounting functions, supporting both client billing and internal financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and issue client invoices promptly and monitor overdue payments.
• Reconcile incoming payments with client accounts and maintain accurate ledgers.
• Review, verify and process vendor invoices and employee expense claims, schedule payments and reconcile vendor statements.
• Perform daily journal entries, maintain the general ledger and conduct bank and credit‑card reconciliations.
• Track fixed assets, depreciation and inventory where applicable.
• Collaborate with HR to compile attendance, overtime and bonus data and process monthly payroll with correct tax and benefit deductions.
• Assist management in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and compare actual expenditures against budgets.
• Provide data and documentation for internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations (GST/VAT, corporate income tax) and file statutory returns on time.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidates with up to two years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple financial processes simultaneously.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with vendors, clients and internal teams.
• Based in Accra or Tema region.
