Accounting Assistant (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a highly organized, detail‑oriented Accounting Assistant to support daily accounting and financial operations. Working remotely, you will assist with transaction processing, reconciliations, invoicing, and maintaining accurate financial records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Record and process daily financial transactions.
• Enter invoices, expenses, payments, and other accounting data into financial systems.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities, including invoice verification and payment processing.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial records.
• Review financial information for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Maintain organized accounting records, files, and supporting documentation.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, spreadsheets, and account summaries.
• Monitor outstanding invoices, payments, and account balances.
• Participate in month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Research and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding accounting information.
• Support audits by gathering and organizing financial documentation.
