After School Science Instructor (Part‑time)

About the role

Terrific Scientific Busters is looking for an enthusiastic After School Science Instructor to inspire children aged 4‑12 with hands‑on experiments and engaging demonstrations. This part‑time position is based in Accra (with activities also in the Tema region) and offers a dynamic environment where creativity meets education.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver fun, age‑appropriate science sessions after school hours.
• Prepare simple experiments, demonstrations and visual aids that illustrate basic scientific concepts.
• Maintain a safe, organized learning space and ensure all materials are ready before each session.
• Build rapport with children, encouraging curiosity and confidence in STEM subjects.
• Communicate progress and any concerns to parents or guardians as needed.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for working with children and a love for science.
• Strong acting or performance skills to make lessons lively and entertaining.
• Excellent spoken English and a good sense of humour.
• Impeccable punctuality, reliability and professionalism.
• Entry‑level experience (minimum 1 month) in education, entertainment, sports, childcare or a related field.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of fundamental science concepts (e.g., physics, chemistry, biology).
