Associate Professor – Computer Engineering (Accra)

About the role

The Ghana Communication Technology University is seeking an Associate Professor to join its Computer Engineering faculty at the Accra campus. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research, and industry‑related innovation within the Faculty of Engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Computer Engineering and related areas.
• Lead and supervise research projects, securing external funding where possible.
• Publish research findings in peer‑reviewed journals and present at conferences.
• Engage with industry partners to develop technology transfer initiatives and curriculum relevance.
• Participate in departmental administration, curriculum development, and academic committees.

Required profile

• Current or previous appointment as Associate Professor at an accredited tertiary institution.
• PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of four years’ experience as a Senior Lecturer with at least ten peer‑reviewed publications.
• Demonstrated excellence in teaching, research, and industry collaboration.
