Business Development Lead – Mining

About the role

Chemsolv is seeking a results‑driven Business Development Lead to grow its footprint in the mining sector across Ghana and Africa. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, building relationships with key decision‑makers, and delivering tailored chemical solutions that improve operational efficiency and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to increase revenue within the mining industry.
• Identify, pursue, and secure new contracts with mining companies, contractors, and EPC firms.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with mine managers, procurement teams, and technical stakeholders.
• Prepare and present compelling commercial and technical proposals.
• Lead contract negotiations and manage the sales cycle from prospecting to award.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to spot emerging opportunities.
• Collaborate with technical and operational teams to design customized customer solutions.
• Represent Chemsolv at mining conferences, exhibitions, and networking events.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide regular performance reports to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Mining Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of business development, sales or account management experience in the mining industry.
• Proven track record of winning and managing high‑value mining contracts.
• Existing network of contacts within Ghana’s mining sector is a strong advantage.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Ghana and Africa.
