Business Development Manager – Ghana

About the role

The Business Development Manager will lead the growth of our asset management business in Ghana, aligning sales initiatives with corporate objectives. You will be responsible for acquiring new investors, retaining existing clients, and building strategic partnerships across the financial sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement business development and sales strategies to meet revenue targets.
• Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and distribution channels.
• Lead negotiations for contracts, partnerships, and business agreements.
• Prepare and coordinate proposals, bids, and tender submissions.
• Set annual sales plans, budgets, and performance targets.
• Supervise, mentor, and motivate the sales team, conducting performance reviews and coaching.
• Build and maintain relationships with high‑net‑worth individuals, institutional clients, SMEs, and corporate investors.
• Collaborate with Marketing to create sales campaigns and promotional initiatives.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to recommend product improvements.
• Prepare periodic sales forecasts, management reports, and budget oversight.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical selling practices.
• Represent the company at investment forums, conferences, and networking events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, Banking or a related field.
• Master’s degree (MBA, Finance or related) is an advantage.
• Professional qualifications such as CISI, CFA, ACCA, CIMA are desirable.
• Proven experience in business development, sales, or asset management.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and relationship‑building capabilities.
