Construction Engineer/Manager

About the role

Grundy Group is seeking a skilled Construction Engineer/Manager to lead and coordinate construction projects across Accra and the Tema region. The role involves overseeing site activities, managing budgets and schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise construction projects and on‑site activities.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and contractors.
• Monitor progress and prepare regular reports for senior management.
• Ensure compliance with construction standards, building regulations, and health‑safety requirements.
• Coordinate engineers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and project plans.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Maintain quality control throughout all construction phases.
• Resolve technical and operational issues on site.

Required profile

• MSc in Construction Engineering Management or a related field, or a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Building Technology, or similar.
• At least 3 years (36 months) of proven experience in construction project management.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, project planning, and cost management.
• Professional certification or membership in a relevant engineering body is an advantage.
