General Manager – EMS Services

About the role

The General Manager for EMS will lead the Express Mail Service division of Ghana Post, ensuring efficient, cost‑effective delivery of mail and parcels across the country. This senior position reports to the senior management team and is responsible for shaping the strategic direction of the EMS business.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise, implement and control operational and business activities of the EMS, Mails and Parcels department.
• Develop and continuously improve methods, procedures and service standards for EMS operations.
• Assess operational effectiveness, capacity and market trends to drive performance.
• Design new EMS and parcel products and create appropriate marketing strategies.
• Ensure compliance with business rules, regulations and financial targets.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Humanities, Social Sciences, Business Management or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification in a relevant field with proven managerial ability.
• At least eight years of post‑qualification management experience in the postal or courier industry, or twelve years in a comparable commercial/industrial management role.
• Maximum age of 45 years.
