About the role

RhythmX Distro is seeking a remote contractor to lead its Hyper‑local Genre A&R efforts. You will discover, onboard, and support independent artists within specific local scenes, helping them distribute their music worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Research emerging talent in targeted local genres and monitor online platforms for new releases.
• Attend virtual events, engage with artist collectives, and evaluate artists’ fit for the RhythmX catalog.
• Build and maintain relationships with artists, providing feedback and guidance through the distribution process.
• Track genre trends, share market insights with internal teams, and identify promotional opportunities.
• Contribute to strengthening RhythmX’s presence in local music communities.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of local music scenes and genre‑specific trends.
• Experience in A&R, artist scouting, or talent development.
• Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and deliver organized reports.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in artist selection.

Required skills

• Familiarity with digital music discovery tools and streaming platforms.
