IP Network & Services Planning Specialist

About the role

The IP Network & Services Planning Specialist will lead the design, architecture, capacity planning and optimisation of Telecel Ghana’s IP/MPLS backbone and related services. This role ensures that network solutions meet industry standards, are secure, scalable and support both enterprise and mobile network growth.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as escalation point for complex fault resolution and problem solving.
• Define and implement network solutions aligned with best‑practice and future strategy.
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers and partners to ensure adherence to standards.
• Design and deploy scalable IP/MPLS, BGP, OSPF and IS‑IS architectures for mobile core, enterprise and broadband services.
• Perform network capacity forecasting and plan expansions across core, aggregation and edge layers.
• Document IP addressing schemes, routing policies and QoS configurations.
• Drive continuous improvement actions in line with Telecel’s processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IP network planning, design or operations within a telecom or ISP environment.
• Strong understanding of routing, switching and IP service provisioning platforms.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
