Junior Graphic Designer

About the role

A creative digital agency, WaxPrint Media, is looking for a talented, detail-oriented Junior Graphic Designer to join its team in Accra. The role suits someone with a strong visual eye, a solid foundation in design principles and a genuine interest in digital campaigns, social media, websites, branding and experiential activations. The designer works closely with senior designers and account teams to turn client briefs into creative assets that follow brand guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Create graphics and layouts for digital campaigns, social media, websites, presentations and experiential activations
• Develop creative concepts in line with client briefs, brand guidelines and campaign objectives
• Collaborate with senior designers, account managers and production teams to deliver projects on time
• Incorporate feedback efficiently and manage multiple rounds of internal and client revisions
• Research design trends, typography, visual styles and creative references
• Adapt global brand assets and guidelines for local markets while keeping brand consistency
• Prepare and package files for digital and print production

Required profile

• Degree, diploma or equivalent training in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field
• Strong portfolio showing design fundamentals, typography, layout and visual composition
• Ability to interpret briefs, follow direction and take constructive criticism without taking it personally
• Good time management, organization and ability to handle several assignments under tight deadlines
• Curious, culturally aware and willing to learn

Required skills

• Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Familiarity with Figma is an advantage
• Good eye for typography, colour, spacing, hierarchy and detail
