Machine Operator

About the role

GBfoods is seeking a Machine Operator to ensure that its food products meet internal quality standards, regulatory requirements and customer expectations in its Ghana manufacturing facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate machines before daily production.
• Operate machines according to established parameters and guidelines.
• Control and adjust machine settings such as speed, weight and temperature.
• Monitor critical control points (CCP 1 and CCP 2) and hourly production output.
• Maintain 5S standards, general hygiene and follow SOPs for machine cleaning.
• Perform CIP/COP at the end of the production week and document activities.
• Record raw material usage, machine output and document any machine stops.
• Report maintenance needs, food‑safety issues and near‑miss incidents promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in a related engineering discipline.
• At least 2 years proven experience as a machine operator in food manufacturing.
• Knowledge of current Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) and ISO standards.
• Familiarity with high‑speed filling, cutting, packaging, pressing, wrapping, granulating or blending equipment.

• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
