Managing Director – Media Group

About the role

The Managing Director will lead an established media and communications organization in Ghana, driving its strategic vision and ensuring strong financial and operational performance. Reporting to the Board, you will shape the company’s future in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the organisation’s strategic vision and growth agenda.
• Provide executive leadership across all operational and commercial functions.
• Drive business growth through innovation, strategic partnerships and market expansion.
• Ensure financial sustainability via prudent resource management and sound commercial decisions.
• Lead organisational transformation and digital innovation to enhance audience engagement.
• Build and maintain relationships with regulators, industry partners, investors and key stakeholders.
• Promote a high-performance culture that attracts, develops and retains talent.
• Oversee governance, regulatory compliance and enterprise risk management.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Media Studies or related field.
• Minimum ten years of executive or senior leadership experience, preferably in media, communications, broadcasting or comparable sectors.
• Proven track record of leading organisational growth, strategic transformation and operational excellence.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience in financial management and business development.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Deep understanding of the evolving media landscape, digital transformation and emerging technologies.
