Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Accra, supporting the operation and maintenance of industrial plant facilities. The role involves working on rotating and static equipment within oil & gas or petrochemical environments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping and valve systems.
• Interpret and update P&IDs, mechanical drawings and equipment datasheets.
• Assist in mechanical project execution and coordination.
• Prepare basic engineering drawings and modifications using AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure plant reliability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in plant/facility maintenance, operations or engineering.
• Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or similar industrial facilities is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation.

Required skills

• AutoCAD for engineering drawings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• Interpretation of P&IDs, mechanical drawings and equipment datasheets.
• Knowledge of pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping and valves.
