Performance Evaluation Consultant – THRIVE Ghana

About the role

The consultant will support the qualitative component of the THRIVE 2030 Mid‑Term Evaluation in Ghana. Working under the supervision of Abt Global and in coordination with World Vision Ghana and VisionFund Ghana, you will facilitate focus group discussions and key informant interviews to assess implementation fidelity and capture participant experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in evaluation orientation and review the evaluation protocol, interview guides, consent forms and sampling strategy.
• Provide input on contextual relevance of tools, translate and back‑translate FGD and KII guides, and pilot‑test them.
• Conduct 14 key informant interviews with THRIVE program staff.
• Facilitate six household‑level focus group discussions with THRIVE participants across selected Area Programs.
• Document findings, ensure data quality and support integration with the quantitative analysis.

Required profile

• Proven experience in qualitative research, especially focus groups and key informant interviews.
• Familiarity with development or humanitarian program evaluations.
• Ability to work in Ghana, understand local contexts and engage with marginalized groups.
• Strong communication skills in English and at least one local language.
