Risk and Compliance Trainee

About the role

Bayobab is seeking a motivated Risk and Compliance Trainee to provide end‑to‑end administrative and coordination support for its risk management function. This entry‑level position offers exposure to the dynamic telecom wholesale environment and the chance to develop a solid foundation in compliance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the Control Self‑Assessment (CSA) workflow, including evaluating control design adequacy and operating effectiveness.
• Collect and retain supporting evidence for control assessments.
• Facilitate review and attestations by Control Owners, Process Owners, and Executives.
• Support the documentation and remediation of identified control gaps.
• Provide general administrative support to the risk and compliance team, ensuring timely coordination of tasks.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or current student in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Finance, Law, or ICT).
• Strong interest in risk management, compliance, and telecom industry regulations.
• Ability to work in a high‑pressure, fast‑growing environment.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Comfortable operating in a multicultural, agile team.
