Senior Business Development Associate (Asset Dispatch)

About the role

The Senior Business Development Associate (Asset Dispatch) will lead GEGL's energy export and dispatch operations, overseeing client billing cycles and maintaining operational relationships with key market and grid stakeholders. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, this role ensures reliable, compliant, and coordinated dispatch, reporting, and invoicing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain day‑to‑day relationships with client site representatives across mine and industrial sites, coordinating reporting, dispatch, and billing.
• Serve as the primary operational contact for market and grid stakeholders (WAPP, GRIDCo, CIE, CI‑Energies) on dispatch, nomination, and reporting matters.
• Oversee daily export reporting, sign and issue reports to CIE by 9:00 am each weekday.
• Manage monthly export nomination process, collect site nominations, obtain internal approvals, and submit to CIE.
• Represent the Business Development team in weekly WAPP market operations meetings and handle platform issues.
• Coordinate administration of supply agreements (PPAs, Gas Offtake Agreements) with technical and legal teams.
• Prepare and chair the Monthly Invoicing Vetting Committee, compile co‑signed bills and maintain the invoicing dashboard.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with proven experience in energy export, dispatch, and client billing operations.
• Strong track record of managing relationships with market and grid stakeholders such as WAPP, GRIDCo, CIE and CI‑Energies.
• Experience coordinating supply agreements (PPAs, Gas Offtake Agreements) and working with technical and legal teams.
• Ability to lead and supervise associates, analysts and interns.

Required skills

• Familiarity with WAPP, DAS and DAM platforms for dispatch and nomination submissions.
