Tax Graduate Trainee

About the role

As a Tax Graduate Trainee you will join EY’s tax team and work on a variety of tax engagements across multiple industry sectors, including financial services, energy, telecommunications and real estate. This entry‑level position offers exposure to tax compliance, advisory and related support services while you develop your professional skills.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns, supporting schedules and assist with filing.
• Draft tax advice and support clients in obtaining exemptions and waivers.
• Provide accounting, bookkeeping and payroll services.
• Assist with immigration and company secretarial support.
• Liaise with the Ghana Revenue Authority and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients.
• Collaborate effectively within the tax team and maintain communication with senior members.
• Develop productive relationships with client personnel and internal service lines.
• Adhere to risk‑management and compliance procedures.

Required profile

• First‑degree holder in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline (Second Class Upper or better).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Student member or affiliate of ICAG/ACCA, or strong motivation to pursue a professional accounting qualification.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work constructively in a team.
