Account Clerk

About the role

The Fountain Head Christian School is seeking an Account Clerk to support its finance operations. This full‑time position will handle day‑to‑day bookkeeping, ensure accurate financial records, and assist with payroll and fee reconciliation in a supportive educational environment. You will collaborate with the school administration to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and perform general bookkeeping tasks.
• Process receipts, payments, and banking transactions promptly.
• Prepare invoices, issue receipts, and reconcile school fees.
• Assist in payroll preparation and support fee reconciliation activities.
• Manage petty cash and contribute to periodic financial reporting.
• Safeguard confidentiality and ensure precision in all financial documentation.

Required profile

• HND, Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively within a Christian school setting.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
