Accountant – Ghana

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to support daily financial operations in Ghana. The role involves close interaction with partner banks, internal teams and compliance functions, ensuring all financial processes align with company policies and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily reconciliations, financial reporting and documentation.
• Maintain regular communication with partner banks and track updates.
• Ensure financial documentation complies with internal policies and relevant standards.
• Gather financial data from internal departments and assist with periodic reports.
• Support onboarding of new financial partners by preparing and collecting required documents.
• Keep internal financial records organized and audit‑ready.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations and Compliance teams to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Monitor basic regulatory changes and flag concerns.
• Submit all required tax filings on time.
• Act as the company’s legal representative for banking, regulatory, tax and corporate matters when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• National of Ghana and member of ICAG.
• 2–3 years of experience in a finance‑related role.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.
• Experience assisting in audit processes and liaising with external auditors.
• Familiarity with local tax compliance requirements.
• Eagerness to learn and grow, and willingness to act as legal representative.
