Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Accountant to join our finance team and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions for our tourism business. The role involves maintaining ledgers, preparing invoices, and supporting payroll and reporting activities.

Key responsibilities

• Record all financial transactions accurately and promptly.
• Maintain complete and up‑to‑date ledgers, journals and accounting records.
• Prepare invoices and receipts and keep accurate records of payments.
• Reconcile bank, cash and other financial accounts.
• Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records and follow up outstanding balances.
• Organise and file invoices, receipts, vouchers and other supporting documents.
• Prepare regular financial summaries and reports for management.
• Support payroll, budgeting, audits and statutory or tax reporting as required.

Required profile

• A relevant accounting qualification or professional training.
• Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping or a related finance role.
• Sound understanding of bookkeeping and double‑entry accounting.
• Confidence using spreadsheets and accounting software.
• Excellent numerical ability and close attention to detail.
• Strong organisational, filing and time‑management skills.
• Integrity, discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and communicate clearly.
• Experience in the tourism, travel or hospitality sector is an advantage.
