Accounts Officer

About the role

We are seeking an Accounts Officer to join our finance team at a leading wellness destination in Ghana. The role will ensure accurate financial records, support revenue management across multiple service lines, and assist with reporting and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date accounting records and process invoices, receipts, payments and expenses.
• Monitor daily revenue collections from memberships, spa, wellness services, retail and other streams.
• Prepare and support monthly financial reports and assist with accounts payable and receivable.
• Conduct daily and monthly reconciliations of cash, bank, POS and other payment channels, investigating discrepancies.
• Maintain strong financial controls, authorisation and documentation of expenditures.
• Record membership payments, packages and subscriptions, reconciling revenue across gym, spa, coffee shop and recovery services.
• Support payroll preparation, staff‑related financial records and budgeting/forecasting activities.
• Assist with audits, compliance with Ghanaian regulations and provide financial information for management decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3‑5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, wellness, fitness or retail environments.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls and Ghanaian regulatory requirements.
• High level of integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
• Familiarity with POS systems and payment reconciliation.
