Administrative Officer (Fixed-Term) – Accra, Ghana

About the role

UNICEF is seeking an Administrative Officer to provide efficient and cost-effective administrative support at its Accra office. The role ensures compliance with UNICEF’s policies and contributes to smooth office operations under a fixed-term appointment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of administrative policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Provide strategic guidance on administrative planning, risk mitigation and process optimisation.
• Manage office budget planning, monitoring and cost control.
• Oversee contract management, procurement and vendor relations.
• Supervise administrative staff and ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Coordinate office logistics, facilities management and day-to-day support services.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary education or equivalent experience in administration.
• Proven experience in administrative management, preferably in an international organisation.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, procurement and compliance procedures.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
