Associate Professor – Faculty of Engineering

About the role

The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) seeks a qualified academic to join its Faculty of Engineering as an Associate Professor. The position is open to candidates wishing to contribute to teaching, research, and community service in one of the engineering departments.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the selected engineering discipline.
• Supervise student projects, theses, and dissertations.
• Conduct high‑quality research and publish in recognized journals.
• Participate in departmental and university committees, contributing to curriculum development and faculty governance.
• Engage in community outreach and professional service activities.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant engineering or related field.
• Current appointment as Associate Professor at a recognized university, or a Senior Lecturer with at least four years of experience seeking promotion.
• Minimum of ten publications in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Three professional referees who can attest to academic and research competence.
