Associate Professor – Faculty of Engineering

About the role

The Ghana Communication Technology University (GCTU) seeks a qualified Associate Professor to join its Faculty of Engineering. The appointment can be in any of the following departments: Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics and Statistics. The role involves teaching, supervising students, conducting research, and contributing to community service and faculty development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality undergraduate and postgraduate lectures and tutorials.
• Supervise student projects, theses, and research activities.
• Develop and lead research programmes aligned with the department’s focus.
• Participate in community outreach and service initiatives.
• Contribute to faculty governance, curriculum development, and academic committees.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant engineering or applied science discipline.
• Minimum four (4) years of experience as a Senior Lecturer.
• At least ten (10) peer‑reviewed publications in recognized journals.
• Current appointment as Associate Professor at a recognized university, or eligibility for promotion from Senior Lecturer under GCTU’s promotion process.
• Three professional referees with contact details.
