Audit Manager

About the role

The Audit Manager will lead and manage audit engagements for a diverse client portfolio, overseeing the entire audit lifecycle from planning to final reporting. Based in Accra, this full‑time, on‑site position combines technical oversight with client relationship management.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and review audit engagements, including risk assessment, audit program design, fieldwork supervision, and documentation of working papers.
• Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements to ensure compliance with applicable accounting and auditing standards.
• Coordinate audit teams, manage client expectations, and monitor engagement timelines and budgets.
• Provide practical recommendations to improve internal controls and financial processes.
• Collaborate with tax and accounting teams to deliver integrated assurance services.
• Support staff development through coaching, feedback, and performance monitoring.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of accounting and finance standards with the ability to interpret and apply regulations.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, ICA Ghana, or equivalent, and a university degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience in an audit supervisory or management role within a public accounting or professional services firm.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams and manage client relationships.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under deadlines in a structured environment.
