Bilingual Admissions Officer

About the role

Academic City University is hiring a Bilingual Admissions Officer in Accra, reporting to the Admissions Manager or Director of Admissions and Enrollment. The post covers all phases of undergraduate recruitment, from generating inquiries to processing applications and enrolling students, with French-speaking support for prospective students. Travel is required, and the position is open until filled.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze prospective students' applications against standard admission policies and interview them to understand their objectives and background.
• Clarify student queries professionally and follow up by meeting, live chat, phone and email.
• Advise students on programmes, admission procedures, eligibility and costs, and help them complete enrolment forms.
• Assist with recruitment activities, student interviews, admission publications and information sessions, and refer students to financial services when needed.
• Inform students about courses and tuition fees, and arrange orientation, workshop and graduation programmes.
• Help prepare admission presentations and host student receptions.
• Develop communication, recruitment and enrolment strategies with senior management and take part in open houses, school fairs, exhibitions and off-campus events.
• Maintain a database of student information, call logs and feedback to produce reports for management.

Required profile

• Eligibility with a French language background.
• Relevant experience.
• Recruitment travel of 40-60% in September, 60-85% in October and 40-60% in November, with some weekends, plus some Saturdays, evenings and holidays; 40 hours per week.
