Business Development Manager – International Expansion (VF Cash)

About the role

Vodafone is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive the international expansion of its VF Cash mobile‑money solution. You will build a pipeline of strategic partners, manage the full sales lifecycle, and act as the first point of contact for new market negotiations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify strategic partners in target countries through market research and trend analysis.
• Develop and deliver business development messaging, pitch materials, and B2B branding for the MPESA Africa brand.
• Lead the sales process, define product roadmap, pricing, and go‑to‑market strategy.
• Collaborate with technology, legal, and senior leadership to execute expansion plans and refine strategy.
• Manage discovery, due‑diligence, and client service model development for new organisations.
• Oversee interim implementation teams as the business scales.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• More than 5 years of business or corporate development experience in mobile‑money within the telecommunications sector.
• Proven track record of entering new markets and securing corporate sales.
