Business Development Manager – VF Cash

About the role

The Business Development Manager will drive Vodafone's international expansion for the VF Cash offering. You will build a pipeline of strategic partners, manage the sales lifecycle, and act as the first commercial contact in new markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an international expansion pipeline of strategic partners.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, regulatory changes, and potential partners in target countries.
• Build and nurture relationships with regulatory bodies, mobile network operators, and mobile‑money license holders.
• Support senior management in positioning the MPESA Africa brand and crafting business development messaging.
• Lead the sales process, define product road‑maps, pricing, and go‑to‑market strategy.
• Collaborate with technology, legal, and cross‑functional teams to execute expansion plans.
• Manage discovery, due‑diligence, and client service model development for new markets.
• Oversee interim implementation team members as the business scales.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in a related field.
• More than 5 years of experience in business or corporate development within mobile money or telecommunications.
• Proven track record in corporate sales to new markets and entry‑mode projects.
