Business Manager – Industrial Projects

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Manager to act as the strategic liaison for our new glass manufacturing project. The role involves coordinating with government agencies, traditional authorities, utility providers and local communities to secure the legal, social and operational foundations of the factory.

Key responsibilities

• Manage land transfer procedures for stool and private lands, ensuring leasehold legality and title registration.
• Build and maintain relationships with traditional councils and local chiefs, resolving boundary or compensation disputes.
• Coordinate local labour requirements and community expectations to prevent protests during construction.
• Lead negotiations with GRIDCo/ECG for high‑voltage grid connection and with GWCL for industrial water supply.
• Secure gas supply by coordinating with GNPC and Ghana Gas, overseeing gas station construction and price agreements.
• Oversee contractors for site leveling, access‑road construction and equipment clearance at Tema or Takoradi ports.
• Manage registrations with GIPC, apply for customs duty exemptions, and pursue Free Zone status.
• Obtain and renew all required permits (EPA, GSA, GNFS, building permits) and act as primary contact for immigration and police services.
• Handle crisis response and security coordination with relevant authorities.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years professional experience in large‑scale industrial projects.
• Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and regulatory processes.
• Strong knowledge of Ghanaian land, utility and customs regulations.
• Excellent negotiation and problem‑solving skills.
