Business Unit Head – SEZ Commodities Trading

About the role

The Business Unit Head will lead the profit and loss, operations, and commercial strategy of a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) business unit across selected African countries. This senior position focuses on driving agri and non‑agri commodities trading, processing, and investment sales to global investors.

Key responsibilities

• Own overall P&L and operational performance of the SEZ business unit.
• Lead sales efforts to attract Indian, African, and global investors to SEZ assets.
• Oversee procurement, logistics, and supply‑chain functions to secure optimal commodity pricing.
• Plan and manage logistics to support efficient commodity trading and processing.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across Africa and internationally.
• Implement risk‑mitigation strategies for trading and processing activities.
• Champion commercial acumen and entrepreneurial solutions to drive growth.

Required profile

• 8‑12 years of experience in sales, marketing, and P&L management within FMCG or consumer goods.
• Proven ability to manage large business units with full P&L responsibility.
• Engineering degree and MBA from a premium business school strongly preferred.
• Willingness to relocate to Africa, potentially with family.
