Chef – Full-time role in Accra

About the role

The Cabin Hotel is seeking a skilled Chef to lead food preparation and cooking for its restaurant in Accra. The successful candidate will ensure high‑quality dishes, maintain hygiene standards, and support menu development.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to the restaurant’s menu and standards.
• Plan and organize daily food preparation and kitchen activities.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety.
• Monitor food quality, portion sizes, and presentation.
• Manage kitchen supplies, ingredients, and stock levels while minimizing waste.
• Coordinate with kitchen assistants and other staff to ensure smooth service.
• Ensure equipment and work areas are cleaned and maintained.
• Assist with menu development and suggest new dishes.
• Monitor food costs and use ingredients efficiently.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served within required time frames.

Required profile

• Certificate, Diploma, or relevant qualification in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or related field (advantage).
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Chef or in a similar kitchen role.
• Proven experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment.

Required skills

• Food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
