Chief Supply Chain Officer (Full‑Time)

About the role

As the Chief Supply Chain Officer for Jumia Ghana, you will design, scale and lead the end‑to‑end supply chain framework, ensuring seamless fulfillment of orders across the country. You will build and mentor a high‑performing team while driving operational excellence in a fast‑growing e‑commerce environment.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and standardise best‑in‑class fulfillment and supply‑chain workflows nationwide.
• Recruit, train and scale robust logistics and fulfillment teams.
• Oversee localized fleets and third‑party logistics networks, negotiating contracts to optimise costs.
• Own daily, weekly and monthly tracking of operational KPIs and produce executive performance reports.
• Manage departmental budgets and ensure accurate month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end financial processes.
• Lead end‑to‑end project delivery for new operational initiatives and strategic assignments.

Required profile

• Strategic leader with strong entrepreneurial grit and independent follow‑through.
• Excellent communicator comfortable leading in culturally diverse environments.
• Proven problem‑solver and negotiator with crisis‑management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering or related field.
• Solid commercial experience in e‑commerce, FMCG or multinational logistics operations.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency, including macros, pivot tables and complex workbooks.
• Data‑analytics capability to turn large data sets into actionable insights.
