Classroom Facilitator Internship – Climate Education

About the role

The Classroom Facilitator internship supports the ‘Butterfly Effect Project’, delivering climate‑focused education to young learners in Accra and Tema. Over three months, you will guide interactive, project‑based lessons that link environmental concepts to local community challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver age‑appropriate, interactive lessons from the project curriculum.
• Guide students through experiments, games, outdoor activities, and green‑entrepreneurship tasks.
• Help learners develop practical solutions for biodiversity, circular economy, and climate issues.
• Create an inclusive, safe classroom environment that encourages participation.
• Document activities, student engagement, and learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with teachers, programme staff, and fellow facilitators.
• Participate in training sessions, reflection meetings, and programme evaluation.

Required profile

• Undergraduate students, recent graduates, or early‑career professionals in education, environmental science, sustainability, or related fields.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills with confidence speaking to groups of young people.
• Creativity, enthusiasm for interactive learning, and genuine interest in climate and environmental issues.
• Reliability, professionalism, and willingness to learn and receive feedback.
• Commitment to child safeguarding and inclusive learning environments.
