College Principal – Lead Academic & Administrative Operations

About the role

The Governing Council of Evangelical Presbyterian College of Education, Amedzofe is seeking a distinguished scholar to serve as the Principal. The Principal acts as the chief executive officer, providing strategic leadership and overseeing both academic and administrative functions of the college.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership to achieve the college’s vision and mission.
• Oversee administration of academic programmes and ensure quality teacher education.
• Maintain high academic standards and implement quality‑assurance processes.
• Supervise curriculum development and programme accreditation.
• Promote innovative teaching methods and educational delivery.
• Manage human, financial and material resources effectively.
• Foster research, innovation and community engagement.
• Represent the college in official matters and ensure compliance with statutes and policies.

Required profile

• Distinguished scholar holding a Ph.D. or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Professorial rank with a minimum of 10 years of teaching and research experience.
• At least 5 years in a senior management position within an academic institution.
• Evidence of scholarly research and publications.
• Strong leadership, administrative and communication abilities.
• Experience in resource mobilisation, fundraising and partnership development.
• Ability to manage human, financial and physical resources of a college.
• High moral integrity and the capacity to inspire staff and students.
