Computer Network Technician – LAN/WAN Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Computer Network Technician to join our team in the Eastern Region of Ghana. The role focuses on installing, maintaining and troubleshooting LAN and WAN infrastructures that support our construction, road works, civil works and operational activities.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs), set up routers and switches, and install network cabling.
• Run routine software updates, configure operating systems and schedule hardware upgrades without interrupting workflow.
• Diagnose system failures, locate connectivity bottlenecks and repair peripheral or network devices.
• Implement antivirus software, monitor network traffic and perform regular data backups.
• Assist employees or clients with technical problems and educate staff on network best practices.

Required profile

• First degree in computer science or a related field, preferably with a focus on network engineering.
• Willingness to relocate to the Eastern Region of Ghana.

Required skills

• Knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP and DNS.
• Proficiency with operating systems including Windows, macOS and Linux.
• Experience configuring routers, switches and network cabling.
• Ability to implement antivirus solutions and manage data backup processes.
