Content Moderator (Trust and Safety Specialist)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Content Moderator to join our Trust & Safety team. Working remotely, you will help keep our platform safe and welcoming by reviewing user‑generated content and enforcing community standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review text, images, and video reports, focusing on high‑priority queues and edge cases that need human judgment.
• Identify emerging abuse patterns (spam, coordinated hate campaigns) and promptly escalate to the Policy team.
• Provide feedback on moderation tool efficiency and suggest workflow improvements.
• Maintain a 95%+ accuracy rate on moderation decisions and participate in calibration sessions.
• Investigate removal or suspension appeals, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
• Act as the designated responder during “red‑alert” events such as graphic live streams or coordinated harassment.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in content moderation, trust & safety, or community management for a major tech/social platform.
• Strong emotional resilience and proven strategies for handling disturbing content.
• Deep understanding of regional cultural nuances and the ability to differentiate hate speech from protected political expression.
• Track record of processing high volumes (80‑100+ items per hour) while maintaining quality metrics.

Required skills

• Proficiency with moderation platforms such as Hive, Besedo, and Salesforce.
• Comfortable using Google Workspace tools.
