Control Systems Engineer

About the role

Newmont is seeking a senior Control Systems Engineer to join its Accra Hub and support the Site Control Systems Team Lead. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the availability, operability, and performance of fixed‑plant industrial control systems across our Ghana operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems, including networking and telemetry.
• Monitor, report, and improve key ICS performance metrics such as alarms and continuity.
• Develop and implement corrective actions to address performance gaps.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance staff, and external vendors to ensure system reliability.
• Manage change initiatives and associated implementation risks.
• Participate in global communities of practice and share best practices.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 5 years of experience in industrial control systems.
• Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work onsite in Accra & Tema region and support a multidisciplinary team.
