Deputy Project Manager – Green Digital Private Sector (Ghana)

About the role

The Deputy Project Manager will support the Multi‑Partner Project Manager in delivering the EU‑funded Green, Digital and Inclusive Private Sector Development action in Ghana. Based in Accra, the role involves coordinating project activities, managing finances and ensuring compliance with donor requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, executing and reporting project activities in line with EU and RVO standards.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation measures and monitor compliance with donor regulations.
• Support financial management, including budget allocation, expenditure tracking and resource optimisation.
• Facilitate implementation of activities that improve access to finance, regulatory environments and entrepreneurial capacity.
• Coordinate with partners such as UNCDF, Expertise France, the EU Delegation in Ghana and Ghanaian government bodies.
• Prepare documentation for Steering Committee and Programme Management Coordination meetings and ensure proper administration.
• Promote synergies with related EU and Dutch‑funded initiatives (e.g., Pact4Skills, TEI OP‑VET, NTF‑V, MAV+).

Required profile

• Experience in managing EU‑funded or donor‑supported development projects.
• Strong understanding of green economy, digital transformation and gender‑inclusive policies.
• Proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders across public and private sectors.
• Excellent organisational and reporting skills.
