Digital Marketing and IT Officer

About the role

This hands‑on position combines digital marketing and IT support for a West‑African destination management company. Based in Accra, you will work with the web team, an external agency and supervise National Service staff.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for the external digital marketing agency, providing content, approvals and tracking progress.
• Build, test and send email campaigns and the monthly trade newsletter, maintaining clean contact lists.
• Upload and update tour pages on WordPress sites following review procedures.
• Maintain accurate tour listings on TourRadar and other OTAs, verifying price changes before publishing.
• Prepare monthly performance reports for email, website and OTA listings.
• Manage a register of digital accounts, ensuring they remain under the company name.
• Provide first‑line support for internet, email, laptop, printer and Microsoft 365 issues, escalating complex cases.
• Obtain quotations, set up new laptops and equipment, and supervise National Service personnel.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in digital marketing, website administration or IT support.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Marketing, Communications or related field.
• Experience working with external agencies or contractors to meet deadlines.
• Good written English and ability to explain technical matters to non‑technical colleagues.

Required skills

• WordPress (page updates, image handling, plugin management).
• Email marketing platforms such as Constant Contact or Mailchimp.
• Microsoft 365 administration (user and mailbox management).
• Basic use of Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
• Canva or simple image‑editing tools.
• Basic HTML and CSS for layout corrections.
• cPanel experience (backups, SSL certificates) – advantageous.
• On‑page SEO fundamentals (titles, descriptions, headings, image sizes).
