Digital Media Officer

About the role

The Digital Media Officer will support the organisation’s communication strategy by creating compelling visual content across digital channels. Working closely with the Communications Officer, you will ensure that all media assets reflect the NGO’s brand and mission.

Key responsibilities

• Develop graphics, illustrations and infographics for the website, social media and other communication materials, adhering to branding guidelines.
• Produce engaging multimedia content, including videos and animations, to support communication campaigns.
• Assist in managing and monitoring social media accounts, ensuring design elements are visually consistent.
• Collaborate on website design, user experience improvements and regular visual updates.
• Capture photographs and videos during events and projects for documentation and promotion.
• Maintain and strengthen the organisation’s visual identity across all channels.
• Stay updated on emerging digital media tools and trends to enhance communication effectiveness.
• Perform ad‑hoc tasks as directed by the line manager.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least 3 years of experience in digital media, graphic design and social media management.
• Ability to collaborate closely with the Communications Officer and other team members.

Required skills

• Graphic design (creating graphics, illustrations, infographics).
• Video production and animation.
• Photography and videography for events and projects.
• Website design and maintenance, including updating visual elements.
• Social media management and content alignment with communication strategies.
