Director: Geology and Exploration

About the role

The Director: Geology and Exploration will lead all geological and exploration activities at Iduapriem Mine, driving the strategy that underpins sustainable resource growth and gold production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a forward‑looking exploration strategy aligned with corporate goals and market dynamics.
• Identify, evaluate and lead new exploration opportunities, including acquisitions, joint ventures, greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Authorize and supervise drilling programmes, manage budgets and ensure rigorous resource modelling.
• Maintain compliance with international reporting codes such as JORC and NI 43‑101.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of geologists, fostering mentorship, succession planning and technical excellence.
• Oversee mineral resource estimation, classification and annual reporting in line with corporate standards.
• Manage grade‑control drilling, QA/QC sampling protocols and mine‑to‑mill reconciliation to optimise ore quality.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (MSc) or Honours Bachelor’s (BSc Hons) in Geology, Earth Sciences or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive mining geology experience, with at least 8 years in senior leadership roles.
• Eligibility for Minerals Commission Competency Certificate for Geology Manager and a valid driver’s licence.
• Proven track record as a Qualified Person (QP) for gold deposits, with deep knowledge of JORC and NI 43‑101.

• Expertise in mineral resource estimation, exploration planning and grade‑control drilling.
• Strong budgeting, cost‑control and financial evaluation capabilities.
• Proficiency with QA/QC protocols, ESG integration and regulatory compliance.
